Currently, we live in the Plastic Age. It seems that this has accompanied us at all times and in all places, and it is a fundamental material; however, it was not long ago that this was invented.

Plastic was created by various people such as Alexander Parkes, John W. Hyatt, etc., who sought to obtain a material with plastic properties from natural elements to replace other products.

However, despite the origin of plastic dating back to the mid-19th century, the real revolution in this material began in the 20th century, when a great expansion of the plastics industry took place and it began to introduce in all areas of life because it was a new material, easy to work with, cheap, resistant, light, etc. It was for this reason that its demand increased and began to accumulate in the environment progressively, which caused a multitude of consequences such as the pollution of the oceans that was somewhat harmful to marine biodiversity. Most of the plastic pollution derived there, in the oceans, and in turn, later, in our health and that of the planet.

Currently, in the 21st century, plastic is experiencing its golden age, which has led to the aggravation of this situation, which has, in turn, led to an awareness of the situation and to seeking and introducing solutions. that already existed with materials and gadgets that can replace plastic.
